Crop Circles, also known as crop formations, are geometric patterns created by the flattening of crops such as weed, barley, rye or maiz. Althought they are not always circular in shape they are all linked to ancient sites. I went on a trip around South England last summer and these are some of the corp circles found in Wiltshire between 2009 and 2010. This is a work in progress.
There are many theories attached to the creation of crop circles. Three of the most popular are: natural wind forces causing the circles to appear, creations of land art, and according to some they are connected to UFO’s seen in the vicinity. Whether or not crop circles are made by UFO’s or humans, the truth is that the formations appear on such a large scale and massive quantity, that they are considered to be a phenomenon.
